Following last year’s successful Open Studio craft beer evening, we opened up our Studio doors again last week to friends, clients and consultants. Our many visitors enjoyed the 150 bottles of Edgley Design and HUT designed and brewed craft beer this evening, leaving happy and inebriated. We are looking forward to next year's event already.

We are very pleased to announce that Pear Tree House was awarded a 2015 RIBA London Award for architecture excellence on Monday night. This new build house in the Caribbean was recently featured as a Wallpaper* ‘interactive floor plan’. Completed in 2010, the five bedroom house is sited on a steep hillside in dense forest on the island of Bequia. The design is inspired by traditional Moroccan courtyard houses, where a series of intimate spaces surround water, providing shelter from the sun throughout the day and cooling humidity from the pool.
Jake Edgley gave a lecture at The Building Centre as part of the Concrete Elegance series in October, 2014 called 'Home Brew - A focus on self-build architecture'. You can watch a video created by the Concrete Centre about the project here.
We are pleased to announce that Edgley Design were winners of the 2014 AJ Retrofit Awards for a House over £300k. 'The judges praised Edgley Design's dramatic transformation of an existing 1960s house for its "well resolved and reordered plan" '
